Mark Hawald (the elder) was a two time Division three national champion for John Carroll in the 1970's and during his senior season in 1976 was a D3 Champ and D1 AA. Mark talks about his career and his son Mark's as an athlete and a coach.
Mark Hawald is one of the greatest college wrestlers in the history of John Carroll and also one of the few who can claim being an All American at the D3 and D1 Level. Mark is from Beachwood, Ohio and stayed close to home for college. Mark also has a son, Mark, who is the headcoach at Mount Union and former AA for JCU as well.
